Hi James,

To be honest, I spent close to 4 hours yesterday on this. Either
the documents are in chinese, or I land up with Chemical plants (not
necessarily fertilizer). China is a large country with a population
well over a billion. Fons says 13,000 plants, but I would put it at
somewhere areound 23,500. The following link,
http://dcp.sric.sri.com/Public/Reports/CH/Company/ gives you all you
need to know. However, you have to pay for the info. For $200 per
company, it is kind of high. At the most, you can get the names, and
then try finding their website. If you try this, you'll be lucky if
you get anything in English.

On another note, you sure know how to extract optimum from this
service...16 questions in one :-) Try splitting the questions into
individual ones. Maybe you will get an answer for something. There may
be someone out there who has partial answers to this "question", but
can't post it because it isn't complete.

Cheers,
aditya2k

Tough job your question as a matter of fact. Most sources I´ve checked
so far do not supply the data you require at all or not for free.
Please have a look at
They have an online database providing a lot of facts about the
chinese chemical industry. And they sell a cd rom.
Does that help you ?
I´m putting this as a comment because I think it´s to poor to be
posted as an answer.

I have to share the desperation of Tilly-ga,

I had a go at your questions and did get a whole end in getting rather
generic information. But your rather specific questions on prices and
contact details: no way to get those together. We are talking about
13,000 plants in a country without phone book.
I also leave it up to others.

I do realise it is a hard job, I will leave this posting up for now
and see if any other responses can assist. Thanks in the meantime.

Some of the information you're looking for is here -- it's a sample
