Hello Narnia,
I still do not understand the problem, so I just wanted to clarify.
Are you looking for a way to make a Tungsten W that is locked for an
AT&T SIM card able to use SIM cards of other services?

I saw forums that discussed this problem, and all the peole there have
said is that to unlock your Tungstens, you need to contact a customer
service number (not clear if it's Palm or AT&T) and pay probably $250
(!) for unlocking. I will see if there is another way, but it is most
likely that those other ways would be illegal or unauthorized.

I haven't been able to find a definite solution yet. I doubt if any
other researcher has too.
By the way, have you I've just read on one message board that a
Tungsten W might be unlocked before you put the SIM in. Have you tried
one Tungsten with another SIM before putting the AT&T one in?

I should have an answer for you within a week or so. I've talked to
someone who claims to be on the verge of unlocking it. I'll get back
to you once they are successful.

Have you looked around in your area if there are GSM unlocking
services that can handle Palm Tungstens? They might be found on the
street.

Sorry to have not responded for a long time. I also apologize since I
know nothing more on how to help you. I had expected Directrix to come
up with their solution in time, but I suppose it may take a while. If
another researcher has come up with something on the Tungsten, he or
she may come up later on.

I also apologize. The person I was waiting on still is not ready with
their method of unlocking Tungsten W's.
I wish I knew, but I'm not sure how much longer they will be. If you
want, you can repost your question, and I will answer it as soon as I
get the word they can unlock it.
