If you are thinking of buying a walk-in bathtub, be aware that (at least with the sort I think you mean) the door cannot be opened with water inside. This means one has to get in, shut the door, and wait while the water fills up (possibly quite slowly if your hot water system isn't up to high flow rates), and afterwards stay in the bath (whilst wet and getting chilled) whilst the water drains out.
