In 1988(!)I heard a song on the radio in a taxi in the UK.
The first two lines of one of the verses ( or it might have been the chorus )
both had eight beats, and the second line ended "a new tomorrow" i.e.
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah-nah
Nah nah nah a new tomorrow.
I cannot remember whether the performance was by a male or a female or a group !!
Please, what was the song and who sung it ? |

Hi nornirn,
Could you please take a look at these lyrics and see if they are familiar:
"...Where is the time for love, the time for sorrow
Where is the hoping for a new tomorrow."
Regards,

Hi Rainbow
It was a long time ago but I'm pretty sure both lines only had eight
beats.
If you don't come up with anything else, please go ahead and give me
details of the one you've found - I will then try and find it on the
web.
One thing's for sure - I'll know it when I hear it !
Thanks & Regards

Hi NornIrn,
While searching for songs which contain the lyrics you gave, I have
come up with several different possibilities. I will give you some
samples lyrics in the hope that some may jog your memory:
1. "On and on and on in light of day
We'll shake off the shadow
On and on and on we look ahead
Sights set on a new tomorrow."
2. "...'til we meet again
Don't know where, don't know when
Darling, our love was much too strong to die
We'll find a way to face a new tomorrow."
3. "The day has died away, let's find a hideaway
And share the promise of a new tomorrow
In the arms of love tonight."
4. "It takes ordinary people
Just like you and me
To put a smile on the face
of an extraordinary world
So let's build a new tomorrow,
living for today
And let love, love, love pave the way."
Let me know what you think. Thanks.
Best regards,
rainbow

Rainbow
You've been working hard !
But now I'm more confused than ever.
Suggest you give me artist, name of song etc for the ones you've found and I'll
try finding them on a music site.
Oh, and bank your fee - you've earned it !
Thanks & Regards
