Z,

Are you sure it's asapiw2k and not aspiw2k?

Also, what version of Windows are you running?

Open the Device Manager and then go to View menu and select Show
Hidden Devices, look for asapiw2k and please tell us what do you find,
also search the registry.

To be able to troubleshoot your issue further we need some
information:
1. What OS and what service pack
2. When you say crash - what do you mean? Do you get a bluescreen,
does your computer hang, etc
3. Use filever and do provide a listing of everything under
%systemroot%\system32\drivers
4. A msinfo32 would be good to have
5. Eventlogs as evt and txt file is a need

It appears to be related to Pinnacle software. Do you happen to have
any products from Pinnacle Studios installed on your system? (Check in
Start-Settings, Control Panel- Add/Remove Programs and see if anything
of their product list appears to be installed)

Do you have the Instant Copy or Instant CD/DVD? Assuming you have the
original CD to reinstall the application, I'd look at uninstalling it
and seeing if the error stops, then attacking the issue from there.
