Open the Device Manager and then go to View menu and select Show Hidden Devices, look for asapiw2k and please tell us what do you find, also search the registry. |

To be able to troubleshoot your issue further we need some information: 1. What OS and what service pack 2. When you say crash - what do you mean? Do you get a bluescreen, does your computer hang, etc 3. Use filever and do provide a listing of everything under %systemroot%\system32\drivers 4. A msinfo32 would be good to have 5. Eventlogs as evt and txt file is a need Kmex |

It appears to be related to Pinnacle software. Do you happen to have any products from Pinnacle Studios installed on your system? (Check in Start-Settings, Control Panel- Add/Remove Programs and see if anything of their product list appears to be installed) Product list: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/VideoEditing.asp?langue_id=7 |

Further continuation along this line: http://webboard.pinnaclesys.com/read_messages.asp?lng=1&WebboardID=1&ForumID=875&ThreadID=136742&Search=1&ThreadStart=0 Do you have the Instant Copy or Instant CD/DVD? Assuming you have the original CD to reinstall the application, I'd look at uninstalling it and seeing if the error stops, then attacking the issue from there. |
