I would like to buy a pink and green striped necktie.  I'm looking for
very bright, preppy colors, preferably in broad stripes.  This is for
a theme party; subtle is not what I'm after.  Silk preferred.  Price
up to $100 okay.  Can anyone point me to a source, preferably online?

The tie you mention (s80) is not really what I would call green.  I am
looking for the ultra-prep colors: lime green and hot pink.

I was hoping for something more than a Google search by someone else. 
My wife and I had already found bensilver.com -- using Google, of
course -- by asking for 'pink and gree necktie'.

Is there a real shopaholic out there with a eye for ties...?

I've already tried their web site, and they don't show a
pink-and-green tie for online order, but Brooks Brothers carries a lot
of preppy, striped ties in their retail stores.

I wish I could be more help, but the preppy heyday of the '70s-'80s
has passed, and there's a probably been somewhat of drop in the demand
for a tie like that.

I never knew there were so many different designs in neckties.
Unfortunately I couldn’t find one with pink and green stripes, but
after extensive searching I found two silk neckties in pink on green
or green on pink. The design is “… a traditional “neat” motif in a
square setting” on a solid background color.
There come in five vibrant color combinations are made of silk. They

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Robert Talbott
(www.roberttalbott.com). Their stores are knee-deep in striped ties,
and they may respond well to a phone call.

Incidentally, I remember the tie you are dreaming of well. There were
quite a few of them at Princeton in the late Seventies.
