What are some basic scripts that I can run on my p.c. that would be fun and more importantly benificial for scripting practice. I am currently between semesters. I am studying information systems. We have not covered scripting yet, but I would like to start on my own. I am having a hard time deciding wich language to use. And where exactly to start. I guess I need a scripting for dummies lesson. Please start with the most simplest instructions. How to run scripts on my p.c. Thank you very much! |

Yes, I guess that is what I mean. Basically, I would like some sample code that I can play around with. Perhaps, a program that enables me to save any incoming e-mail to a different folder other than my e-mail account folder. Or maybe, a script that enables me to count the number of files that have been altered or opened on my p.c. throughout the day. Hopefully this helps. I would like some strait forward scripts, or code, that can be easily executed, with some interesting results. Thank you, David! |

The first time I used google answers I was pleased. The second time and at the presetn time I am not. I purposely inquired on a broad subject in hopes of a cool anwer. It has now been about two weeks and nothing. I am not a computer scientist and I could have came up with a better script in two seconds. Come on guys, redeem yourselves! |
