I'm looking for any and everything I can findout about the lyrics and
artist of an older children's song.  The lines of the song, as best as
I can determine,  are as follows:

"I want to be more than a Sunday-go-to-meeting-Christian, I want a
religion that thrills me every day.  Say'in amen to the preacher is
fine if all the next week I let my light shine."

who wrote it
who sang it
what is the rest of the song
etc.

This group has a song with those lyrics, but I'm not sure this is the
original song:

I also keep coming accross this article in which the author recalls
the song.  She has her own website and maybe you can contact her, she
may know some of the information you request:
