Hello rmagner-ga,

I should emphasize the disclaimer at the bottom of this page, which
indicates that answers and comments on Google Answers are general
information, and not intended to substitute for informed professional
legal advice. If you need such advice, you should contact a lawyer.
A Google Answers Researcher, as a layperson, can only do general
research on this topic, which you might then discuss with a lawyer.

I have found a Court of Veterans Appeals case that appears to favor
the nexus between diabetes and coronary artery disease. I can't
provide a direct link to the decision, but you can find it by
searching on the Court of Veterans' Appeals search engine (
http://webisys.vetapp.gov/isysmenu.html ) for: diabetes AND coronary
AND artery. It should be result # 9, entitled "Ruby C. Wray,
Appellant". If you click on that link, and then click "First Hit" on
the top left of the resulting page ("Ruby C. Wray, Appellant, v. Jesse
Brown, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Appellee"), you'll see testimony
about this nexus, which the court seems to accept. (Alternatively,
you can find the case by searching for: ruby AND wray.)

I should note that the court is now called the United States Court of
Appeals for Veterans Claims, but was the United States Court of
Veterans Appeals when the Wray case was decided.

Good information, in that the VA committed themselves to the nexus.
