The "knowledge worker" (user of MS Office/Word)based on inital
estimates, is a universe of 600 million users. Of this number, what
percent of business users are required to transcribe (healthcare,
legal, insurance industries, etc.) and what percent of individual
business users of MS Word transcribe written notes (some of the time,
most of the time)?

To answer this question, the supporting research must provide detailed
data for more than the medical transcription market - specifically the
number of users that are required to transcribe thier
notes/written/form data in the insurance industry, in the legal
industry, in the healthcare industry and secondly the number of
individual MS Word users that are not required but do transcribe
notes/written/form data into their computing devices (laltop, desktop,
PDA)some of the time or most of the time.

Any resources for providing supporting documentation/substantiation
should be in the public domain and should not require an additional
fee to access online.

I just like to let you know someone's been trying to answer your
question. The data that's easily found is how much money spent on the
transcription industries. Number of MS WOrd users though is quite
tricky to find, likely not to be free on the Net. I'll see what else
could be found.
