Hello Researchers,

I hope you can come up trumps with this one.

I currently own a collection of DVDs. These are home made i.e. vintage
TV series transferred from VHS to DVD.

Now, these DVDs do not have English subtitles on them which I need as
I have an hearing impairment.

Is there a service anywhere in the world (happy to take on a UK
customer) that can take on these DVDs, and 'burn' or 'add' English
subtitles (whichever method)?

I suspect cost will be high here. But please list possible companies,
and highlighting whether there are discounts for large orders. Can you
explain if there are any turnaround times, issues with copyrights of
dealing with such a vintage TV series. (These shows would be in my
private collection and not for sale).

Also list any ideas you may have.

Please note that an answer which explains about the process of
providing subtitles to a DVD is not acceptable. I want a service that
will create subtitles for me.

Best regards, pinkhippo.

Know someone who worked for a school for the blind, transcibing books
and stuff. Similar services/resources should be available through
schools for the deaf.
