Howdy evets,

As LAVCON Inc. who does business (DBA) as KLH Audio Systems
CORPORATION CALIFORNIA is a privately owned company, there
is not much available on them.

From their website.
http://www.klhaudio.com/

"KLH is a family owned business."

More about KLH on their "about" web page.
http://www.klhaudio.com/about.htm

"KLH was founded in 1957 with one goal -- producing superior
quality hi-fi loudspeakers at affordable prices."

From their Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.
http://www.klhaudio.com/faq.htm

KLH Audio Systems
11131 Dora Street
Sun Valley, CA 91352
818-767-2843
818-767-8246 - Fax

"KLH left Cambridge a long time ago. The KLH name has changed
hands several times since Cambridge. KLH is now a privately
held corporation with U.S. ownership. Our factory and offices
are located in Sun Valley CA near Los Angeles. The present
owners have had the KLH name since January of 1989."

They have had at least one legal problem, as reported on this
MSN Money web page.
http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/ticker/sigdev.asp?Symbol=SNE

"Sony Corp. Files Suit Against KLH Audio Systems June 09, 2003
Sony Corp. announced that it has filed a lawsuit to prevent
Lavcon, Inc. (also trading as KLH Audio Systems) from copying
the design of a Sony home theater system model (DAV-S500). The
complaint charges KLH with design patent and copyright
infringement. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court
for the District of New Jersey."

All of the above said, it is doubtful that KLH, essentially a
speaker company, makes the televisions that carry the KLH brand.
Rather, they are probably rebranded televisions, that is,
televisions made by someone else, with the KLH name placed on it.

If you look at the KLH Model KT2006 20" TV and the Apex Model
AT-2002 20" television, you will find remarkable similarities.

KLH 20" TV - Model KT2006 as shown on the Best Buy website.

Apex 20" TV - Model AT-2002 as shown on the Apex Digital site.
http://www.apexdigitalinc.com/proddetail.asp?linenumber=16&c=No

Some Apex company information from their website.
http://www.apexdigitalinc.com/company.asp

"Apex Digital Inc. is a privately owned company founded by David
Ji, current Chief Executive Officer, and Ancle Hsu, current Chief
Operating Officer. Apex has enjoyed enormous success in the DVD
player, home theater and television consumer electronics arena.
Due to consumer demand for Apex products, in three years the
company grew from selling a few DVD players regionally into
America’s leader in DVD player sales and a major American
television brand. Technology, efficient processes, strategic
partnering, and a focus on providing the consumer with the best
value hallmark the success of Apex Digital.

Operating from our corporate headquarters in Ontario, California,
the Apex Digital team takes pride in providing you with home
entertainment solutions at a reasonable price."

If you need clarification, feel free to ask.

Search Strategy:

Used the United States Patent and Trademark Office "Quick Search"
facility with the keyword "KLH" (without the quotes) to find the
parent company's name.

Google search on the keywords: klh website
://www.google.com/search?q=klh+website

Compared television sets on the Best Buy website.
