HOW DO YOU FIND INFORMATION ON A FILE NEEDED FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.

What is the "file" supposed to do, and how do you know you need it?
What indication do you have that this file is necessary?

After downloading a plug in for Windows Media Player...I received an
error message stating that my computer needed this file to play
Windows Media. It gave this long file name that was needed.

Why don't you just reinstall it?
