My son's Internet server would not receive email from us because of
some Internet script error.

This is what it says--

Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line: 52
Char: 1
Error: 'POTMenu' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: mhtml:mid://00000019/

Do you want to keep running scripts on this page?
Yes No
---
What do I do eliminate this?

It is a direct email. He does not go through the Internet.

It is the server that rejects our emails. Emails to others.
get through.

In case I did not understand or answer well your question,
what are some options of web page usage that you are thinking of?

The server is a DSL called satx.rr.com

Thanks,
John

What program are you using to send e-mail?

I am using Outlook 5.0 and 6.0 , from 2 different computers.

Emails bounced from both computers and both versions of
Outlook.

Somewhere in Outlook there is probably an option to send mail as "text
only" instead of HTML. I don't know where it is in Outlook, but in
Outlook Express you can go to Tools, then to Options, then to Send.
If the HTML option is selected, change it to text and see if the mail
can be received OK.

It still bounces after making the suggested change.
My 3rd PC does not appear to have the problem. I just sent
an email to my son and it did not bounce. The other did bounce.

Oo´ps 3rd pc did have a mail bounce.

One email got through?!?!?
How can I get you more info so that we can solve this?

One computer comes up with opening a web page with
something about "purging or correcting syntax".

Thanks.

This may help. It's from the TechTv site.

"A lot of webpages contain JavaScript errors. You can't do anything
about these errors -- that's up to the webmaster -- but you can turn
off the error message in IE.

   1. Click Tools and select Internet Options.
   2. Click the Advanced Tab.
   3. Under Browsing, check "Disable script debugging" and uncheck
"Display a notification about every script error."
   4. Click OK."
