Hello floogle-ga, Static Water Pressure - the pressure that exists in a piping system when there is no flow; measured in pounds per square inch (PSI). Residential Static Water Pressure is usually in the range of 40 to 100 psi. Residential static water pressure (no water flowing) is usually between 40 pounds per square inch and 100 psi. Somtimes the pressure in the city main is too high and each house will have a pressure reducer to bring the pressure to under 100 psi. Usually static pressure is not our problem when we design a sprinkler system. The problem is more often a water flow rate of under 10 gallons per minute. Rodda And Sons http://www.roddaandsons.com/sprinklers.html The King County Health Department and the Uniform Plumbing Code both recommend residential water pressures to be in the range of 30 psi to 80 psi (70 ft to 185 ft). The Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District http://www.sammplat.wa.org/pressure.asp What is standard water pressure for residential properties in Edmonton? The operating pressure range within a specific zone is 35 to 100 psi. Epcor http://www.epcor.ca/Residential/Important+Information/Water+Information/Water+Pressure+FAQs.htm Residential water pressure should not exceed 80 PSI, at which point plumbing lines may burst, or damage may occur to appliances. http://www.advancedhi.com/services.html The Clinton Water Utility has an average static water pressure of 60 psi. Clinton Water Utility http://www.clintonwi.us/UTILITIES.htm Search Criteria: Static Residential Water Pressure range in psi Static water pressure residential I hope this helps. If anything is unclear please request clarification and I'll be glad to offer further assistance before you rate my answer and close the question. Best Regards, Bobbie7-ga |
