Hi soctiestudent, thank you for the good news.
In regards to the programs you don't really want, next time you
download something, consider ticking the "I will choose what to
download" rather than the "automatic download" option. In this case,
you could've unchecked AOL, Instant Messenger and anything else you
didn't need, saving yourself the uninstalling hassles.
In regards to Winamp, it is a music player.
"Winamp is an audio player that can handle audio CDs, MP3 audio files,
and streaming audio broadcasts. It combines extensive functionality
with an intuitive interface. Winamp features a playlist editor and a
10-band graphic equalizer with user-definable presets that can
automatically load specific files."

To make it official, here is my answer to your original question:
Downloading Netscape is a two-stage process. First comes the
"installer" and second the program.
Is there a "NSSetup" on your desktop or in your Program Files? If not,
go to Start/Find/Files or Folders and type "NSSetup" to find it. Once
found, click on it and you will begin downloading Netscape 7.02.
If you have already done that step successfully, go to
Start/Find/Files or Folders and type in "Netscape 7.02". Look for the
program file (.exe) and click on it. You can also look in your Program
Files folder.
I hope you enjoy your new browser. Thanks again for getting back in
touch.
Sincerely,
