Good day! I would like help choosing a merchant account for my website
so that I can accept credit cards. At this point I only accept cards
through paypal which is working fine but I loose some sales because of
it. I tried a merchant account in the past and had a bad experience.
They charged me a lot to open an account and then again to close the
account. I want a reputable company with a good, easy, user interface
that will accept orders,in real time and manually by me(using my web
browser) when I take an order over the phone. Sincerely, Tom Lewis.

Hello tomdavid-ga:

It was a pleasure to answer your question. I am answering this
question because some of my closest friends are utilizing the services
of Merchant Account Providers for over two years. I am sorry to hear
that you are having problems with your current MAP. It happens a lot
these days as more and more MAP’s are attracting potential customers
by promising to provide the lowest fees and what not. I am providing
you the names of two companies who not only fulfill your desired
criteria (real time and manually) but also provide great customer
service. Both of these companies are established and very reputable.

I will also advise you to consult a website http://merchantseek.com to
find an alternate Merchant Account Provider. The advantage of this
website is that you can compare many MAP’s by your specifications.
When I searched according to your criteria, it provided my details of
about 50 Merchant Account providers. You can compare these MAP’s side
by side and than if you like, you may visit their website. Once logged
on, please click on ‘Find a Merchant Account Provider’ from the left
hand side menu. In the third step it provides you many selections
including ‘Checks by Phone/Fax and Email’.
Please click on (?) signs beside these selections to get a brief
overview of what these selections mean.

Following are the two very reputable Merchant Account Providers:

AICS Advanced International Commerce Solutions
http://www.aics.us

Payment Online
http://www.paymentonline.com

HOW TO SELECT A MERCHANT ACCOUNT PROVIDER?

I hope this will help. Please clarify if you are not satisfied. Thanks
for using Google Answers. I wish you a very good luck with your
business.

Sincerely,
Leader-ga.
