Hello.

Well, it seems that Bill O'Reilly had his 54th birthday yesterday.

"Bill O'Reilly...
Date of birth (location)
10 September 1949
New York, New York, USA"
source: Internet Movie Database
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0971123/

"Bill O'Reilly...
Date of Birth: 09/10/1949"
source: deadoraliveinfo.com
http://www.deadoraliveinfo.com/dead.nsf/onames-nf/O'Reilly+Bill

" William James O'Reilly was born in 1949 to a frugal, distant father
and a saintly stay-at-home mother."
source: The Boston Globe: "The Meanest Man on Television"
http://www.boston.com/globe/magazine/2002/1201/coverstory_entire.htm

Also note that the 1949 date makes sense considering that O'Reilly
graduated from high school in 1967 and 17 and 18 are typical ages for
a graduating high school senior:
"O'Reilly graduated from Chaminade High School in Long Island in 1967"
http://www.buzzflash.com/contributors/2002/01/010702_Vietnam_and_OReilly.html

And he graduated from college in 1971 and 21/22 are typical ages for a
graduating senior who completes a college degree in four years.
"Bill O'Reilly, member of the Marist Class of 1971"
http://www.marist.edu/alumni/oreillyb.html

search strategy:
"bill o'reilly", "date of birth"
"bill o'reilly", 1949
"bill o'reilly", marist

I hope this helps.

There is a lot of disinformation with respect to the dates and
locations
in O'Reilly's early life. Neither IMDB nor Dead Or Alive are
particularly authoritative sources, as they are contributed to by
random users with
no fact vetting in many cases. A more authoritative source should be
given.

I wish you had been a little more upfront about your need for an
"authoritative" source. "Authoritative" wasn't part of your original
question. Nonetheless, I will see if I can come up with something
else. Give me a couple days or so. Thanks.

Just an update...

Various web sites indicate that Mr O'Reilly resides in Manhasset, NY.
See:
Boston University: Alumni news
http://www.bu.edu/com/alumni/source/Articles/Current_News/1998/December/Career_Decisions2000/a_str_01.html

If you do a search for William OReilly in Manhasset, New York, on
USSearch.com, you'll find that web site indicates Mr O'Reilly's age is
54, consistent with the date of birth mentioned above.
http://www.ussearch.com

The 1949 date seems pretty solid. Do you have any reason to believe
that September 10 is not accurate?

I've sent out some emails. I will let you know if I get any response.

This is not a request for further clarification, but rather, I was
able to locate a more authoritative source:

http://www.oreilly-sucks.com/images/registration1.jpg

(A scan of O'Reilly's voting registration record.)

For whatever reason, Google's software did not have the "Request
clarification" button present on this question for two days, so I was
not able to communicate this information back to the researchers until
today.)

No further work need be done.

Thanks for the assistance.

I'm sorry that you had trouble with the system. Are you sure that you
were properly logged in?

The researches found the correct answer, but did not specify an
authoritative source. To their credit, they found enough
circumstantial evidence to back up their answer. Independently, I
found an authoritative source, a copy of O'Reilly's voting record, at
http://www.oreilly-sucks.com/images/registration1.jpg -- however,
there was NO WAY FOR ME TO COMMUNICATE THIS BACK TO THE RESEARCHERS.
For about two days, I could not add comments or clarifications to the
question, there was no field for me to do so. This is a flaw more in
Google's software than in the researchers.

A free search at Intelius, plugging in his name and birth month/year
confirms it is Sept 1949
http://find.intelius.com/search-name.php?searchform=adv

(If you search for August 1949 with his name, you get zero results,
for example)

Thanks, Robert.

Soylent:

As my colleague Robert Skelton indicates, try WILLIAM OREILLY in
Manhasset NY on Intelius:
http://find.intelius.com/search-name.php?searchform=adv

The only month/year combination that works is September 1949.

I think this should be considered adequate verification.

The researchers sources weren't good enough, but www.oreilly-sucks.com is?
