My wife and I were at the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery a couple of
years ago and there was a display of hooked rugs by "3 Chicks
Hooking". We would like to find a current phone and address (or
e-mail) for them or a gallery that sells their rugs. The
Smithsonian's last address for them was in Quantico, Virginia, but we
couldn't find anything.

I found a website that verified their location as being in Quantico,
Virginia, bu did not list an address. Did the Smithsonian give you
their full Quantico address? Maybe we could trace their address and
retrieve more information. Thank you.

The woman at the Smithsonian, who was relatively new at the time, was
only able to identify Quantico from a scrap of paper she found. Since
the Renwick had previously sold the rugs in their shop, I would have
expected more of an address, but she was unable to find it.

Hi!

Just one quick comment ... Quantico Virginia pretty much consists of
the Quantico Marine Corp Base, it's associated military museums and
schools and the FBI Academy.

This means that the population there is highly transient. People who
were there in 2000 are likely gone now and your "three chicks" may
have been separated.

Good Luck -- K~

Maybe try e-mailing these people:
http://www.kerrlake.com/robinest/INDEX.HTM It is a hooked rug
store/studio in Virginia affliated with an organization that has rug
retreats and workshops (it would seem). It seems likely that they
would be familiar with rug makers in the state.

Good luck,
Charl23 :)
