Question ID: 254864
I am interested in starting an Indian software company.

I have some Indian friends that will provide the labor.

I need to know the following:
How can I pay them directly? or what is the best way to pay them? Ideally
- a particular bank that will let an American open an account which I can
then transfer money to the Indian programmers account.

What are the best sites on starting an outsourcing company? Things to
watch for?

A few articles of general interest about competition in the software
industry in India. A few success stories on how this has worked well for
particular companies (a few disaster stories).

HI,

I run my own S/W company and I am in Bangalore. Your question is
interesting. Ideally it depends on what kind of business plan you have
in mind.

1) If you are looking for having a set of programmers in India and
paying them directly, you can always make an arrangement via some
companies or even the bank shall assist you. The process shall be
cumbersome though.

2) You can start your own company with an Indian partner with your
Indian partner holding equity. The process of setting up a company
then would be relatively easy. You will need to register with RoC
(registrat of companies, Act 1956) and if you hire a CA/Accounting
firm, they shall handle all your legal issues relevant to setup.

3) It will also depend on where you want to setup you company in
India. The laws would vary a little from state to state (labor laws
mainly)....taxation law shud remain the same.

If you need more information, you can always contact me. My company is

Hi,

   http://www.indiainitiative.com/List%20of%20Chartered%20Accountants%20firms_02.htm

This list mentioned above will give you the list of CA firms in India
with International affiliations. However, on personal note, if you
have plans to set up office in Bangalore, I can assist you through my
CA.

Hope this helps.

Warm Regards

Sujay
