Hello lordwilliam-ga,

Jean-Honoré Fragonard was a French painter.

“Jean-Honoré Fragonard, (1732-1806) was a French painter of the rococo
age, who became popular in the courts of Louis XV and Louis XVI for
his delicately colored scenes of romance, often in garden settings.”

“Fragonard was born in Grasse on April 5, 1732. At the age of 18, he
began to study painting in Paris with Chardin, but he formed his style
principally on the work of his next master, François Boucher.
Fragonard won the Prix de Rome in 1752. He studied in Italy from
1756-1761. In 1765 he was admitted to the Académie Royale.”

(..)

“The French Revolution (1789-1799), which destroyed the nobility on
which Fragonard depended for commissions, ruined him financially. He
died poor in Paris on August 22, 1806.”

The above information should give you an idea of the value of your
tile. I have not located evidence of original signed Fragonard tiles.
If you believe your tile is not a reproduction, you should be able to
obtain the value of the tile with an appraiser.
