I have a propietary software product. When it is placed on a cd-rom master and duplicated, it enables the company to track who is using the disc, where they are going on the disc, how long they stayed on any given area of the disc and much more. Companies spend millions of dollars sending printed literature to customers - once it is in the hands of the customer you never know if they looked at it and if they did, where did they go and what interested them. Unlike printed literature, when you send or hand out to a prospective customer a cd-rom with our software on it, you will know if they have looked at it, where they went and what interested them. You will get an email that will tell you immediately that they have run the disc. It's a great data collection tool as well as a sales tool because when the user registers on the cdrom you also have their contact information. I have a great product but with a very small marketing budget right now, I need to narrow my focus and determine who my target market is. Can anyone help? |

Hi! Thanks for the question. I have worked as a marketing staff at a service company and usually when we want to make campaigns our main problems are the tracking part of the success of such an activity. It is easier to do that for online marketing but for offline campaigns it is quite difficult. Even marketing consulting companies only can forecast but have difficulty monitoring such a campaign. Since you said that you have a limited marketing budget at this time, I suggest that you offer your software to direct marketing consultants themselves. Direct marketing consultants usually plans and then support direct marketing campaigns but have difficulty tracking the success rates for the brochures, catalogs they sent out for particular clients. Your software could be a great help for them. The Direct Marketing Association has a database of different types of consultants. Hundreds of companies are listed here. The resulting direct link doesnt go to the desired immediate results. Please follow the directions below to get only the targeted companies for your campaign. 1. Go to this search page. http://www.the-dma.org/servicelocator/#business 2. Choose All Categories in the Search All/Primary Only section so as to get a larger number of listings. 3. In the Service Firms section. Check the boxes for Marketing Consultants and Marketing Research Firms Marketing Research Firms might also be interested in your CD-ROM since it could aid them in data mining activities and other projects. 4. Choose the appropriate country 5. Then click on the search button. Search terms used: "direct marketing" consultants I hope these links would help you in your research. Before rating this answer, please ask for a clarification if you have a question or if you would need further information. Thanks for visiting us. Regards, Easterangel-ga Google Answers Researcher |
