I could go to the library to find this but don't feel like driving 45
minutes.

I need a scanned image of each page of the classified ads section of
Popular Mechanics OR Fisherman's World magazine. There is a certain ad
that I am looking for in those magazines but I vaguely remember what
it looked like.

This must be in an OLDER magazine, from 1986 through 1991.

*** $5 bonus if you have both Popular Mechanics and Fisherman's World
- one '86 or '87 and one '91 or '92 edition. - that makes 4
classified
ad sections total for the $5 bonus ***

Again - I only need each page of the "classified ads" section in the
back.

Email if you have any questions.

I have the October 1990 issue of Popular Mechanics in my possession.
What do you remember about the ad? What was it selling?

The ad was very vague and was about "making money" or about a
"business opportunity". The company name was "The Ken Roberts
Company", in Ojia, California. I do not know if the company name will
be listed, but I do know the mailing address was certainly Ojia,
California.

My Oct '90 PM issue has about 10 pages of text-only classified ads and
another 15 pages of ads with graphics. I did quick scan, and nothing
about Ken Roberts or Ojai (?) caught my eye.

Was it a "text-only" ad? Or did it have graphics?

I meant to say that I did a quick skim. I haven't electronically
"scanned" anything.

I *think* it was text only. However its been over 10 years ago so I
can't remember. The company also moved to Grants Pass, OR but I think
that happened in 1994. Perhaps the Popular Mechanics ads started in
1991. The issue I had was in late 1991 but someone told me he had been
advertising since 1983.

Some material I have from his company shows:

Copyright (c) 1991
The Ken Roberts Company
Ojai, California 93023

Perhaps I am wrong in that it had been in Popular Mechanics prior to
1991. It may have been in Fisherman's World before '91. It was also in
TV Guide and a few other publications.

Yes, but also understand that the classified ad text does not contain
the words "commodity trading". The Ken Roberts company ads were very
vague.
