Hi! Thanks for the question. I have found a site, which sells dust jackets only. The site has some dust jackets for 1st Edition books. To save you time, I will list here the 1st edition books only. Allende, Isabel: PAULA; (Dust Jack ONLY - NO book), (Harper Collins), 1995, First English-language edition, fine. $15.00 Boorstin, Daniel J.: AMERICAN CIVILIZATION; (Dust Jack ONLY - NO book) (First Edition), bumps at top and bottom of spine, wear at corners, very good. $15.00 JOHN GAW MEEM, PIONEER IN HISTORIC PRESERVATION; Santa Fe (Museum of New Mexico Press), First Edition, ISBN 0-89013-151-1, fine. $15.00 De Vinci: THE UNKNOWN LEONARDO; (Dust Jack ONLY - NO book) McGraw Hill, First Edition, very good. $20.00 Gassier, P. & Wilson, J.: GOYA; (Dust Jack ONLY - NO book) Reynal, first edition, near fine. $20.00 Hall, H. R.: AEGEAN ARCHAEOLOGY; (Dust Jack ONLY - NO book) (First Edition, 1915), 5 short tears repaired on inside with archival tape, spine faded from blue gray to almost buff. $20.00 Hall, W. S.: CURRIER & IVES PRINTS: THE SPIRIT OF AMERICA; (Dust Jack ONLY - NO book) (may be a first edition, $2.25 is the price on the front and orange paper has an "old" feel.) $15.00 Hesse, Hermann: KLINGSOR'S LAST SUMMER; (Dust Jack ONLY - NO book), New York (Farrar, Straus and Giroux), first English-language edition, SBN 374.1.8166.7, near fine, $15.00 Rewald, John: CEZANNE; (Dust Jack ONLY - NO book) First Edition, fine. $20.00 All of the above-mentioned titles could be found at Dust Jackets (Only) from De la Peņa Books http://www.delapena.com/Dust_Jackets.html Odd Volumes United also sells book dust jackets only but does not mention whether it is for 1st edition of books. http://www.oddvolumesunited.com/cgi-bin/ovushort.cgi?djacketsSale I hope this is what you require. Please ask for a clarification if you need further information. Thanks for being a part of Google Answers. Regards, Easterangel-ga |

Dear JB, If I understood correctly (and please correct me if I'm wrong) you're looking *only* for the dustwrappers, without the books that was inside. I only found this: http://www.deiltak.com/wrappers.html Also these might be of interest www.maulu.demon.co.uk/books/DWJ/ http://www.2nd-hand-books.co.uk/ Thomas Tanselle's "Book-Jackets, Blurbs, and Bibliographers," The Library, June 1971. |

politicalguru, A dustwrapper ("dustjacket" in booksellers' lingo) that's price-clipped is damaged. JB, I own a bookstore and let me tell you, literally 80% of the value of a Modern 1st Edition is from the dustjacket. I would expand on my answer and tell you the perfect solution, and places you can find it, but I'm still waiting on Google to accept my Researcher application. |

politicalguru, Nevermind. I just saw that the first one was price-clipped but the others weren't. |
