I have a couple of questions for you:

Where is the railroad car located? To what use would the car be put
after it is restored?

Details about the car's history might be helpful. The more we know,
the better we'll be able to help you.

The car is in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan and will be used to
celebrate Catholic Extension's 100th anniversary in 2005. The thought
would be to do a whistle stop tour throughout the country. Check our
website at www.catholic-extension.org and more about chapel cars and
in particular the St. Paul Car at www.chapelcars.com. Let me know if I
can be of more assistance. Thank you

Thanks for introducing me to a little known facet of American rail
history. Are you aware of Steamtown, in Scranton, PA? It is a National
Historic Site, operated by the federal government, with a very active
restoration program (both steam locomtives and specialized rail cars.)
So they may be a good starting point for you. Here's the link:

Check that out, and in the meantime I will see if I can come up with a
funding-related answer.
