Dear Munchie,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please find below some resources that I believe will be of help to
you.

==How much does it cost to do new home construction in the healdsburg,

According to the nice lady from North Coast Builders Exchange, (707)
542-9502, in Santa Rosa the **average** cost to build a new house is
$100-$125/square foot. Obviously depending on your land site and the
quality of materials you choose, your prices can vary but these
figures at least gives you a good feel for an estimate. North Coast
Builders can also help with information for individuals hiring
contractors or building custom homes.

==What are the variables that will impact costs.

Obviously you are aware that there are many factors that affect cost.
However. I found a fairly extensive worksheet from Jim Murphy and
Associates on Project Non-Building Costs to help in your
estimatations.

http://www.j-m-a.com/art_nonbuild_costs.htm

They state:
Construction costs, especially preliminary ones, are often discussed
in dollars per square foot. The biggest source of variation, aside
from the quality level, is the range of items which are included in
that $/sf.

Non-building costs can be significant, changing the per square foot
cost by as much as $40 or $50.

Your site may have some special considerations and for a more accurate
estimate, contact a local licensed contractor.

This site might help a slight bit, if no one else can provide an answer for you:
http://www.b4ubuild.com/books/estimating.shtml

They say:
"How much does it cost to build a ____ square foot _____ style house in _____?"
Well, the short answer is "normally between 45 and 150 dollars per square foot,
with the average between $70 and $90". However, it is simply not realistic to
expect anyone to be able to provide a narrowly defined dollar estimate to build
or remodel any house without first knowing much more about the project in
question.

After this they go into detail about the different factors involved in
determining home price, such as whether or not there is a basement involved, or
the materials to be used.

You may want to ask a professional contractor for an estimate proposal/quote at
http://www.respond.com

Hope this helps...
