Up near Yosemite, is one of my all time favorite towns, Columbia.
Columbia is an old gold mining town, that's been rebuilt and
refurbished to it's former glory. The main street is exquisite. No
motor vehicles are allowed, only horse and carriage. The shops harken
back to the 1890's, and they sell period items and many shopkeepers
dress in period costume. It's a very quiet town, but well worth a
visit.
