What version of Windows are you using (such as Windows 98, Windows XP, etc.)?

Can you describe exactly what happens when you try to restore?

You may find some useful information here:

Let me know if this helps.

Since I've never had Windows ME, I am not the best Researcher to
answer your question. I hope someone who has had direct experience
with ME will be able to offer more assistance.

What can you tell us about the free space in your hard disk, Windows
System restore needs sometimes a lot of space depending on the system,
try to delete previous restore points if you have not enough free disk
space.
If this is not the problem please try to give us more information
related to your computer.

regards.

Hi!!
I think that you must do the following:
Go to Start menu, select Run and type cleanmgr to free space in your
PC.
Then disable System Restore, reboot and enable it again, see this
following "How to do" page:
"Disabling System Restore":
http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm

This probably will fix it, but I must tell you that I think like my
fellow researcher knowledge_seeker-ga about the Windows ME System
Restore, there better options like GoBack that I use successfully.

Tell me please how this works.

All I know is that I have NEVER ben able to get the Windows Restore
function to work properly in ME. I gave up on it.

To determine free space, Go to your desktop, open MY COMPUTER, then
select the drive that Windows is installed on. (This is usually C) To
the left will appear a pie chart and a statement telling you how much
free space is available on that drive.
