I am certain that you're looking for "Epaminondas and his Auntie," by Sara Cone Bryant. I loved this book when I was a child, and it is good to learn that it's still in print after all these years. Here you'll find a list of places where you can purchase "Epaminondas and His Auntie": Addall.com http://www3.addall.com/New/compare.cgi?dispCurr=USD&id=552222&isbn=089966556X&location=10000&thetime=20030916184508&author=&title=&state=AK#price Google Web Search: "epaminondas and his auntie" ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22epaminondas+and+his+auntie You can read a text-only version of "Epaminondas and His Auntie" here: BookRags http://www.bookrags.com/books/kids1/PART21.htm I hope this meets your needs. If you have any questions, or if the link doesn't work for you, please request clarification; I'll be glad to offer further assistance before you rate my answer. Best wishes, pinkfreud |

Pinkfreud, Why does it seems as though every time someone asks about a book they remember as a child you seem to have read it, or a song you seem to have heard it? Were you always a genius? |

Bowler, I guess the reason I can identify so many books, songs, and movies is because I am very, very old, and the packrat's nest that I call my brain tends to hang on to scraps of information for no particular reason. Unfortunately my mind refuses to be similarly tenacious when it comes to important stuff like my own phone number and the location of my car keys. ;-) ~Pink |
