How do you delete web site addresses from the middle search space on
my lap top.I can clear the top address box by going into control

box.

What operating system are you running? What browser?

When you say "middle search box" do you mean the box where you can
type in a URL (web site address), then click "go" to see the address?

Does this better describe your problem: "When I start to type in a web
address, the software tries to fill in a suggestion from web addresses
I have recently visited."

giggsy1985...

To clear the search space, go to 'Internet Options' -->
'Content' tab, and click on 'AutoComplete' under
'Personal Settings'. Then click on the 'Clear Forms'
button. To prevent your browser from caching these
terms in the future, uncheck 'Forms' under 'Use
AutoComplete for'.

You can also delete specific single entries in the
drop-down list in the search space by highlighting
them and pressing the 'delete' key on your keyboard
(not the 'backspace' key, in this case, but the
'delete' key to the right of it). With some versions
of browser, you can also right-click on the entry
and select 'delete' from the resulting drop-down
dialog.
