from http://www.durfee.net/will/faq.htm : ---------- "Will & Grace" is not available on any home video formats in the USA. With the multiple syndication deals already in place, it's not likely that it will happen any time soon. However, Warner Vision France is releasing a set of four Season 1 DVD's for Region 2 (Europe, Japan, Southwest Asia, and South Africa). These discs will not play on a North American DVD Player due to the region coding and our incompatible video standard. ---------- Additionally, NBC stores at http://www.shopnbc.com/nbcstore/depts/default.asp? deptid=62 says at the bottom: "At this time, individual episodes are not available for sale." You can purchase from the French version of Amazon.com the Region 2 discs, which are playable on a computer with proper software, or a modified DVD player which you can generally pick up in any electronic-rich portion of a major city. http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=dvd-fr&field- actor=Eric%20McCormack/ I cannot guarantee that these will have both English and French encoded on them, but it seems pretty unlikely considering the technology is available for them not to. If you already have a DVD player in your computer, you can hook it up to a TV with a relatively cheap Hollywood RealMagic card, available for less than $50: Pricewatch link: http://queen.pricewatch.com/search/search.idq? ne=37757&l=37711&CiCodePage=Windows-1252&cr=hollywood+realmagic&qc=%22HOLLYWOOD% 22*+AND+%22REALMAGIC%22* Half.com link: http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi? offer_id=1095610364&meta_id=5&cpid=1067541349&domain_id=68 Hope this helps. |

Hi, If you live in Europe, you can buy the series one DVD (Region 2 only) from www.play.com: http://www.play.com/Play247.asp?page=search&adudisc=y as of 3 June 2002. Here is a list of all the countries that play.com will deliver to: http://www.play.com/Play247.asp?page=delivery I have found them to be a great place to buy from, they are very reliable and offer speedy delivery. If you're outside Europe then you might have a few problems, as it doesn't look like it's getting a release outside of Europe for the moment. But you do still have a few options if you're willing to import it... Amazon.co.uk will deliver to almost any country in the world (for a fee of course). Here is a link to their order page for the DVD: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000066CUX/ref=sr_aps_dvd_1_1/026-6276898-6243625 Be aware that this would be a region 2 release and you would have to make sure that your DVD player would play region 2 disks. Amazon.co.uk will also sell the VHS videos as of 3 June: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=vhs-uk&field-keywords=will%20and%20grace&bq=1/ref=sr_aps_all/026-6276898-6243625 Either on 3 separate videos or a box set covering episodes 1-12. Hope this information helps! hir0_uk |

quicklink-ga, I hope you're monitoring this; you should be aware that amazon.com links to searches for specific queries don't work after a short amount of time. You can link to actor(ress)-searches or to specific items, but queries on specific search strings don't last in their database system. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/202-1423915-5542226 |
