Exactly what sort of information can a prospective employer learn from
doing a background check? While at a job interview recently a
prospective employer mentioned they'd be able to look into my job
history to ensure what I listed on my application was accurate. Can
they really find out this sort of information? In other words, if I
did not list a place of employment, would they be able to find out I
worked there? What other information do employers usually find out
when they do background checks? Can I verify this information to
ensure its accuracy?
