Maybe you could change the billing address to a P.O. box? It works
with some CC companies.

In any case - sites like Amazon.com (that sells household articles in
the continental US) are supposed to be secured: no-one, except the
person billing you, is supposed to know, or to be able to know,
details such as your billing address.

An alternative could be, to buy using alternative methods - not to buy
with a credit card, but with (for example) Direct Debit order, money
order, etc.. You could see, for example, a list of methods Amazon.com
use, that are *not* credit cards:

Wemsy, I believe anti fraud measures employed by both credit card
companies and merchants will make it almost impossible for you to
conduct transactions in the manner you are wanting. You would be
asking a merchant to accept a CC number without any supporting
verification.

Additionally you state that your residential address is also your
billing address, most merchants require that goods are shipped to the
billing address.

The only thing I could suggest is emailing or phoning a merchant,
explain your situation, and arranging payment by check, at which time
I am sure they would happily send the goods once it had cleared.
