Question ID: 258366
I am looking to purchase a book, however I have searching everywhere
online in hopes of finding it and still am coming up with nothing.
The book is:

Author: Sally Ann Vonderbrink
Title: Laboratory Experiments for AP chemistry students
ISBN: 1877991341

The direct amazon link is:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1877991341/warptoestores-20/103-4552034-1822245?dev-t=D2QS2JML41X76R%26camp=2025%26link_code=sp1

Please note that the book has to be the teacher edition. I have found
on a few sites a used copy of the student edition for $125, however
that is the closest I have come to finding it.

The publishers website is:
http://www.flinnsci.com/homepage/chem/aplabman.html

They obviously have the book, however they will not the general
public.

I was thinking some college textbook stores might have it, but again I
have found nothing so far...
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

Hi,

Go to book search and price comparison site
http://www.alldiscountbooks.net/go/txtbk/txtbkHome.htm
Search your book by isbn, then compare price. You will get
the info you need. Just click BUY, it will bring you to the
bookstore site.

Good luck.

Thanks guys, for helping.

Unforunittly I too have seen the first link and that website is out of
stock on the book. The used copy for $120 is not only way out of my
price range but is also the STUDENT version, I am looking for the
teacher edition.

It has to be out there somewhere... grr...

I think the idea is that the student is supposed to get the answers by
doing the work, radical as that may sound.

Obviously the idea is to get the answer yourself... However my
daughter is self-teaching herself AP chemistry (her school doesn't
offer it) and as any serious student knows, it is vital that you back
up your answers. apteryx, don't judge what you don't know.

You are right, dan_marik. My sarcasm was midirected, and I apologize.

Your query pushed my button. Without any background given, it sounded
as if it were from one of those many who seem to believe that it is
their right to purchase the answer to anything and then receive
academic credit for it. I often wonder with a shudder how many
doctors, airline pilots, business advisors, design engineers, and
others who hold public safety in their hands received their
credentials by such means. (Try a search on "plagiarism" and "law" if
you'd like a glimpse of how widespread the problem of cheating is
among students heading for a career in legal practice.) Many people
seem to think that GA is here to provide shortcuts of that kind, and I
do look askance at them, it is true. But your case is different, and
my assumption was incorrect.

A confession:

When I was at school, I managed to get hold of the Spanish Teacher's
version of a book.

It made homework so much easier, when translating stuff into Spanish.

However, I insisted that everyone using it (and everybody did) should
make some deliberate mistakes.

Unfortunately, on one occasion, while we all made the required number
of mistakes, we all failed to make a mistake on one phrase that the
teacher had thought we might get wrong.

So, he opened his next lesson with 'Hands up ... Who's got the
Teacher's book?'

Well, it was me.

There, I feel better for that!
