Question ID: 25881
I am looking for companies that are offering genuine, permanent,
full-time job vacancies working from home. I am
not interested in any scams that request fees or deposits or payment
in anyway, just proper paid employment that I can do from home. I
have
a fast and powerful PC so I am looking for clerical work/typing etc...
(not telesales or sales in anyway). I do not need information on
homeworking so please
do not direct me to any of these sites. I am just looking for proper
legitimate companies offering proper work that can be completed from
home - they must also be able to offer work to the United Kingdom.

Hi! Thanks for the question.

Since you don’t want any background information regarding telecommute
or work at home jobs but just want companies that offer them I will go
straight to the point.

The “2 Work At Home” website has a listing of telecommute friendly
companies (Big Established Firms) which means that they welcome
employees that would require telecommute work.
http://www.2work-at-home.com/telecommute.shtml

IBM which is included here has been reported to be extensively using
telecommute or work at home employees.

The Mommy’s Place website also has a list of companies which are
welcome to work at home employees and gives an approximation of the
number of telecommute employees. The links directly brings you to the
company’s career page.
http://www.mommysplace.net/companies.html

Another similar list of big companies which welcomes telecommute jobs
is WorkAtHomeSuccess.com.
http://workathomesuccess.com/TClist.htm

Great Plains software before Microsoft acquired it, has also been
known as telecommute friendly.

The large and stable corporations rarely post a work at home job
opening since they are flooded with resumes from people who are not
qualified. So the trick here is to send a resume and be patient for
the job offers.

I did not post here general job openings since it maybe difficult to
determine if they are legitimate. Maybe you could also try Google
Answers and be a researcher. The work is very interesting and pays
well too.

I do hope that this would help you. Please ask for a clarification if
you need more information or if the answer does not fit what you have
in mind. Thanks for being a part of Google Answers.

Regards,

The links that you provided only give details of companies that MAY
offer telecommuting work, there is no
indication that they have any work currently available. Most
importantly, all of the links that you have given me
are for US companies and they do not offer any work to people in the
United Kingdom. Could you please give me
details of companies that are currently offering telecommuting/work at
home jobs to people living in the United
Kingdom.

Hi again and thanks for seeking a clarification.

The following are sites for telecommute work in the UK, which
specifically states job needs.

COMPANIES OFFERING CLERICAL WORK
<a href="http://homeworkinguk.com/clerical.htm">http://homeworkinguk.com/clerical.htm</a>

Other job offers from Telework in the UK
<a href="http://www.teleworkwhere.com/TeleworkOffers.html">http://www.teleworkwhere.com/TeleworkOffers.html</a>

Other sites have telecommute or work at home offers but mostly are for
freelancers and do not offer full time employment.

I hope this would be of help to you. Thanks.
Reason this answer was rejected by lemmingpolkaga-ga:
The researcher, on first attempt, failed to provide me with any UK
organisations, as requested on my question. He also provided me with
many sites that gave links that no longer existed. I specifically
made it clear that I was
not interested in sales of any kind. However, on his clarification,
he gave me links that offered poor sales
opportunities. This being the case, I have clearly not benefitted in
any way from his advice and do not feel that
the useless information he gave me is worthy of any fee.
information he has
