What research has been done on how email influence relationship
marketing and business's ability to build and mentain relationships
with their customers? I need to find scientific research on this

When you say you need "scientific research" ... what are you referring
to?

White Papers? Surveys? "Before and after" studies by specific
corporations?

I'm sure you realize that mileage can vary, dependent on types of
businesses and their target market, so some clarification would be
useful to any Researcher who attempts to answer your question.

With "scientific research" I mean articles and reports done by
researchers connected to Universities or other scientific institutes.
In these studies the method is very important.

The only article I was able to locate is:
