Hi Ciao and thanks for the question! I'm assuming that the 'o' in '40oN' stands for degrees: 40 degrees north and 120 degrees east falls in the northern Yellow Sea near the Chinese town of Shanhaiguan. You can view the exact location here: http://www.mapquest.ca/maps/map.adp?latlongtype=degrees&latdeg=40&latmin=0&latsec=0&longdeg=120&longmin=0&longsec=0 20 degrees south and 60 degrees west falls in the northern region of Paraguay close to the Bolivian border. The nearest town is Leon Hill. You can view the exact location at: http://www.mapquest.ca/maps/map.adp?latlongtype=degrees&latdeg=-20&latmin=0&latsec=0&longdeg=-60&longmin=0&longsec=0 For looking up locations by latitude and longitude I recommend using Mapquest. They have a feature that allows you to enter the latitude and longitude and then get a map of the corresponding location. (Note that longitudes that are west of Greenwich, England are entered as negative values and latitudes that are south of the Equator are entered as negative values). The website can be found at: Mapquest http://www.mapquest.ca/maps/latlong.adp Search Terms: latitude longitude search latitude longitude lookup Hope that helps! If you have any additional questions concerning this answer please do not hesitate to request clarification. Best of luck! -Blinkwilliams-ga |
