It is my understanding that payments for enrollment into clinical trials are only made to healthy controls. Patients receive the treatment that is offered plus reasonable expenses, but no more. |

NYU is a site for the STEP-BD study of Bipolar disorder. The main pathway for the study doesn't pay, but once you are enrolled their are some sub-studies that pay a nominal fee. |

Silvernitrate, The US government maintains the "ClinicalTrials.gov" website to index and provide information on all clinical trials currently being monitored by the FDA. It is at http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct. I'd suggest you search this site for either disease, with New York as the location, to see what studies are being recruited for in the NYC area.
