There is nothing more frustrating than having a question and not knowing where to go for an answer. I am a historian-researcher. I hold a Master's in History from the California State University at Chico. My special feild of interest ins the American Frontier and Westward Movement. This takes me into several fields of study; the American discovery, the Colonial period, the opening of the Northwest Territory, Kentucky, Tennessee, the trans-Mississippi movement, the California period and the settlement of the West. In addition, I have a deep interest in Ancient History and the Middle Ages. I have always been a trivia enthusiast and have a fairly extensive library of arcane knowledge. I feel my broad background and access to a wide variety of research sources will enable me to provide Google with fair, accurate and succint answers for its subscribers. | |

It seems you want to apply to be a Google researcher, but don't know where to do it. Start here: [https://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=apply] Read the FAQ: [https://answers.google.com/answers/faq.html] Read the Researcher Guidelines: [https://answers.google.com/answers/researcherguidelines.html] Take care of Step 1, which is writing a short essay describing why you would do well as a Google Researcher. You seem to have done this above, but you might want to proofread it again and clarify what would make you a good researcher before listing your areas of expertise. [https://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=apply&step=1] Once you've submitted your essay, be patient. It will be read by several people before being advanced to the second stage, which is answering a set of sample questions. Following submission of your sample answers, you'll need to be patient again while they are checked for accuracy by the Answers staff. Good luck with your application. |

https://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=apply Try again, bucko... though I think it might be seen as a point against you that you didn't really seem to read through everything. :-) .BF. |

Well, at least you didn't say that you're really good with computers (or following instructions). ;-) |

As Google indicates: doe a proofreading for the application. Use for example MS word to find out which words were not spelled correctly. |

Patience. And keep in mind that submitting an application *does not* mean you'll automatically be accepted. |

I went through the entire application process and was declined. It took forever. Oh well. |
