Question ID: 259906
This is a repost of an earlier question regarding companies offering
movie data such as cast, cost, production, director, budget,
ticket sales and so on. I found IMDB, baseline ft, Hollywood Reporter
and ShowbizData. However, I would like to see if there are 2-3 more
providers? I am more interested in a centralized database with access
via an API such that it can be integrated into another program.

There is no answer at this time.

There are several other websites which provide movie data.

These include : www.bravo.ca, http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com,
http://www.eonline.com, www.film.com, http://www.hollywood.com,
http://www.ign.com, http://www.moviesounds.com,
http://www.spacecast.com/

just to name a few.

if u wish to pay me i can integrate these website services into a
program or website which will allow you to view them.

As far as i know, there are no programs or databases out there that
combine services together

Thanks for the comment. Some of the sites might actually work.
However, they don't seem like an equivalent to IMDB. Beside the rather
sophisticated API I would be happy already with a simply excel file I
can download for a particular movie with the above-mentioned data. But
that seems to not in the interest of those web site at all. I hoped
somebody would have made it a business model to sell the data, but
also that doesn't seem to exist.

Hagen--

I'm the one who suggested BaselineFt. Here's another pay service that
the industry uses: Exhibitor Relations in LA. 818 784-2380. Website
= www.exhibitorelations.com They offer a variety of subscription
services by mail or electronically. ER supplies the weekly Box
Office grosses that you hear every Sunday on the news. They offer a
monthly and/or bi-weekly Feature Release Calendar (I subscribe to
both), Production Notes, Ratings, Credits, all kinds of things.
Plus, they do custom reports as well, so perhaps they can create
exactly what you're looking for.

Hi, you might try http://entertainment.msn.com/movies. There's a
couple of search boxes. Enter movie name in the little box above all
others. Scroll down to cast and crew. Hope this helps. You'll
find lots of info on lots of things at www.yesmelbourne.com

All Movie Guide makes its database available for licensing. I'm sure
it's quite costly though.
