My company currently uses SQL Server 2000/ Analysis Services as our
corporate datawarehouse. The ETL (extraction, transform and load) of
data is from our OLTP system on our AS400. Our line of business is in
the retail property industry and until recently have only owned retail
properties nationally (Australia). We have subsequently acquired
interest in a handful of US retail properties that we now need to
incorporate into our management reporting process. (At this stage I'm
not clear on the data source, volumes or structure of data from our US
Properties at this stage). I need to research the alternative
solutions/models for tranfering data from remote locations for the
purposes of loading into an SQL Server on a periodic basis.
