Please help me find a travel deal to Florida or anywhere south of
there between Dec 1 and Apr 1.
I hate winter and I've never had the pleasure of escaping from the
cold for a warmer place.
 Requirements:
Budget is max $500 for airfare and accomodations
 Minimum three night stay
Must be a place I can pretty much count on being warm
Must be a safe place (I know some places in the Caribbean
 are pretty rough)
I don't care if it includes a weekend or not. I'm self employed
 and make my own schedules.

Dear PC Ventures,

I hear you. Cold gets old.

My friends have been raving about JetBlue Airways.
Besides great prices, they have new planes with monitors
for each passenger (films, games).

They can take you from NY to
Florida, New Orleans, San Diego, Las Vegas,
Los Angeles (Long Beach), San Francisco (Oakland)
or even Puerto Rico
http://jetblue.com/specialoffers/superfly.asp

Check out their hotel deals, by the city of your choice.
(Note Las Vegas and San Diego tend to be cold in December
through February - then, hot, hot, hot.)
You can get to Las Vegas and back, for under $400.00,
You can stay in New Orleans for under $500

SpiritAir is also cheap. Keep an eye on their specials
from NY - you can get to three cities in Florida, or Puerto Rico
http://www.spiritair.com/syberspecials/syberLGA.htm

If you're really a free spirit, they have last-minute specials
In fact, they'll take you round trip to Orlando for three
nights, for under $350, including taxes.

They'll take you to Las Vegas for about $400.

Play with the accommodations tools on both these sites.

Will this work for you?

Best wishes,

It's also worth keeping an eye on http://www.travelzoo.com; they
publish a top 20 list every week at http://www.top20.travelzoo.com.

The top 20 deals can sell out very quickly; but if you go through the
archives, you will see what hotels and airlines have publicized deals
to and in Florida. For example, to check for Lodging, click on the
word or go directly to
   http://dir.travelzoo.com/Lodging.asp

I've just noticed that they're only listing lodging deals for the last
week or so, and they're not particularly cheap (apart from Miami's Art
Deco Greenview Hotel $57 (October) and a couple of others). That's why
it's a good idea to take a look every now and then, and copy the urls
for future reference.
