Hello sspates,

I come to you with mixed results. Since you called the knife a model
"FFH CH Wal HS" I assume you do not know what that means.

The knife looks to have been made in the late 60's to 70's. That is
as accurate as I could get with my internet searches. Undoubtedly
there are books that cover this knife in more detail but that
information has not made it to the Internet.

FFH stands for First Folding Hunter. CH Wal is short for Checkered
Walnut, the material used to make the handles and the pattern engraved
upon it. I do not know for what the HS stands. Several people have
asked in the rec.knives newsgroup about this knife and have indicated
that it has brass liners and a midlock.

I did find one page that looks to have numerous knives for sale or on
consignment, including 3 knives like yours. The listed prices are
$395, $485 and $495. The conditions of the knives are listed at
nearly mint so if your knife has much wear it will price lower. Also
affecting the price would be the presence or absence of the leather
pouch and the cardboard box it came in.

The Cutting Edge used knife page for "G" knives:
http://www.cuttingedge.com/text/g.html

Knives 75638, 74787, and 74648 seem to match your knife.

GerberGuy's Gerber Legendary Blades collector's website, folding knife
section:
http://www.gerberknives.com/folding.htm

No prices listed but there is one example of your knife with picture.

I hope this helps.
