A popup window:- "Content Advisor http://ads.adtomi.co..." and/or
"Content Advisor http://www.clarify.org/safesurf/: " which erroneously
has both my personal initials ("dmf's") and also one of my passwords
(*******) [which I can give you if needed] and this obnoxious popup
demands that I use my PW before I can access almost any web site or
e-mail. Can you help me to get rid of this popup window, please?

Hi Donn ~

The adtomi is connected with stock tracking software, but has also
been included in some other downloads without the user's knowledge.

Have you recently installed software to your computer to cause this to
popup?

So far as the safesurf ... have you added any kind of surfing guards
to your computer lately?

Answers there may help any researcher track down and help you with
getting rid of those annoying popups for you.

I can provide you with locations where you can download three small
programs for free that can (1) remove adware, spyware and other
annoying programs (2) prevent re-occurance, and (3) stop popup ads
entirely. I use all three of them daily (running silently in the
background without much interaction from me) and have had no problems
whatsoever since their installation.

If this is a suitable solution to you let me know and I will post it
as an answer.

It occurred to me that, since you haven't reponded to the
Requests for Clarification, that you might be unfamiliar
with the site and how to use it. There is a tutorial by
one of the researchers, skermit-ga, which might help:
