Hello,

I'm looking for a hosting company in Europe which provides a range of
dedicated self-managed Windows hosting solutions with MS SQL options
if needed.

How do you go about making sure you pick someone who's good with
service quality, support and availability as well as backbone
connectivity?

A few examples of their mid-range offerings in terms of what we get
and what is costs would be appreciated.

We're a business oriented company with hosting needs in the same area,
nothing adult or otherwise questionable shall be involved.

Thank you.

-Dusty

My absolute favourite, if you don't mind paying a bit more, is
rackspace.co.uk. The advantages compared virtually any other provider
are the flexibility, support and uptime. Their prices start £243 plus
VAT, without MS SQL.

I've also seen happy customers using www.windows-servers.net and
www.dedicated-servers.co.uk They also seem like excellent hosts, but
just a snap below the rackspace when it comes to the cons mentioned
above.

windows-servers.net which is the cheapest of the three, seems to lack
a bit when it comes to data centre and network information on the
site. I have heard from happy clients hosted there, but this one would
require further research if you need a really stable online presence.

dedicated-servers.co.uk, the mid-priced of them, is more close to
rackspace when it comes to both the price and what you get. The only
main difference is what rackspace call 'fanatical support' which
stands out a bit in the industry (read about the concept at their
site).

Both dedicated-servers.co.uk and rackspace has a really good
connectivity with multiple backbones (99.9% and 100% guarantee).
windows-servers.net fail to give good information about this (only
states a 99.5% connectivity guarantee) but seems to be a level down,
but still good.
