My grandfather is trying to find out the name of the singer and the
name of the song which contains the lyrics "fifty Guineas a term".
Apparently it is a song from between 1920 and 1950. Any additional
information would be welcomed.

Although I know of lyrics that mention "fifty guineas," there is no
"term" involved. Identifying old songs is something that I'm usually
very good at, but this one has me stumped. If any other lyrics, or
fragments of lyrics, are available, that would be most helpful.

it was part of a song on comedy radio in New Zealand, but may well
have come through from the BBC in the UK.

it was part of an English radio program and script, and may have been
a book as well.
