copprolite rings and pendants are quite lovely. But what they really
provide is a conversation piece at a party. The one site I found and
then lost offered opendants galore at about 65.00.

mevlana-

do you only want that one site? Or would several others offering
coprolite rings and pendants suffice? cath-ga

Hi mevlana,

After several hours of research and numerous variations of search
terms, I have been unable to locate the specific site you recall.
During my search, I have located quite a few sites that display
coprolite jewelry, including pendants and rings. However, the closest
I could come to what you are seeking are coprolite pendants for $39.79
and $79.79.

The pendants you recall for $65 may now be unavailable, thus the site
you remember is no longer attainable. Alternatively, the pendants
could have been on a site you have, or one that I have found, but have
been purchased, therefore no longer displayed.

Please let me know if the sites I have found suffice as an answer.

By the way, they really are quite lovely pieces of jewelry. :)

Regards,
rainbow

mevlana-ga,

Below I will provide you with various web resources for purchasing
coprolite rings and pendants. Note that there is a plethora of sites
selling raw or poished coprolite specimens, but not many at all that
sell coprolite pre-made jewelry.

The following link is to a gallery page of coprolite rings for sale,
among other jewelry, from a member of http://community.webshots.com.:

[http://community.webshots.com/album/3967305YVZLruxuTD/1 ]. Below I
pasted links to each individual piece of coprolite jewelry from the
above gallery.

The next link is to a silver & coprolite ring for sale. Price is $45,
size 10 1/2:

Here’s a link to another silver & coprolite ring. Price is $50, size
9:

Next is a different silver & coprolite ring, price $40, size 10 ¼:

This one is a size 5 ½ silver & coprolite (dinosaur) ring for $40:

Here’s a silver & coprolite (dinosaur) ring, size 9 ½, price $50:

Next is a size 8, $50 silver & coprolite (dinosaur) ring:

Last, here’s a link to a size 8 ½ silver & coprolite ring for $60:

This $60 coprolite ring may be what you saw before. Let me know.

Moving on, the following link is to Crystalisland Jewelry.com, where
they sell coprolite specimens and other types of rings and pendants.
(Note: I’m sure if you e-mail them [“If you have a special
circumstance, email me at robyn@crystalsandjewelry.com and I'll try to
help out.”], and said you’d like them to make a coprolite ring and/or
pendant for you out of some of their own coprolite specimens, that
they would do it for a reasonable price) :

].

As you note in your Question, it states on the site that, “Coprolite
is always good for a gasp and a giggle. It's fossilized dung! Kids are
always particularly fascinated with it.”

The next site, BushyBasin.com, sells jewelry, including coprolite
specimens:

[http://www.brushybasin.com/Gift_Fossils/PCS/pcs.html ]. Again, same
deal as above—although they don’t advertise pre-made coprolite
pendants and rings, if you e-mail then and say that’s what you want,
they will make it for you:

“Order Inquiries: Contact us about your pending order or any
questions you may have concerning products, ordering, or ordering
policies; Order Inquiry; support@brushybasin.com”

The next site, ArtisticJewelry.net
[http://www.artisticjewelry.net/products.htm ] offers:

“Jewelry, one of a kind
14k or sterling silver settings with any kind of stones. “ And their
“stones” do include coprolites:

[http://www.artisticjewelry.net/rough_rock.htm ]. So, just e-mail them
and tell them you want coprolite rings and pendants with the offered
14k or sterling silver settings:

“to inquire or order
send email to:
dkemham@vii.com”

As for coprolite pendants, the following site (Blue OX Rocks.com)
offers to custom make a pendant from any natural object, including
coprolites, which they have done before
[http://www.blueoxrocks.com/custom.htm ]:

“Custom Object Wirewrapping:
You select a natural object to wirewrap and our team will evaluate and
design a pendant. **In the past we have wirewrapped pieces of amber
(contained ancient insects) and *coprolite* (fossilized dinosaur
poop)**. We recommend you select an object from
www.WildEarthProducts.com. A truly unique and personal gift idea.”
