Thanks for the initial help on the O. M. Jorstad history. You may
answer with a pet story, joke (shaggy dog story?), or even repost your
answer.

Under the circumstances, I think it appropriate to share a little
extra research on my personal favorite Norwegian/American -- one Harry
Stewart -- whose claim to fame was writing and performing comedy songs
with a fake Swedish accent.

He was best known for the classic, "I Yust Go Nuts At Christmas," but
my personal favorites are "Who Hid The Halibut On The Poop Deck" and
"Root A Toot Toot, I Yust A'Graduated From The Yazz Institute."

Here is a Web site devoted to the great Mr. Stewart (Yorgesson), where
you can learn all you would ever want to know about Yogi, and more. I
hope you enjoy it.

And in case you are interested in delving further into the great
American popular music tradition, here is a link to the lyrics of "Who
Hid The Halibut On The Poop Deck." It's been so long since I heard
the record that I can't vouch for their accuracy, but you'll get the
idea (you have to imagine the exaggerated Swedish accent).

As a half-Norwegian (dad's parents came from Norway), "Yorgey
Yorgesson" has always been one of my favorites. And a few years ago,
Orion Samuelsen from WGN radio in Chicago (who always does the farm
reports with great dignity) recorded some of Yorgey's songs, including
my all-time favorite, "I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas".

Thanks much for the five-star rating and the recognition of my part in
developing the information you have received so far. I hope that
Osmand (or Osmund) turns out to be your guy.
