Is there a way to find out what happened to this company, which was in
business as recently as 1964-1965? I know that it no longer exists,
but did is merge, or just close? Is there a way to find out what
happened to its remaining inventory? |

I found an address for them, and some incorporation information, but
no indication of just what happened to Atlantic Binders.
Is there anything else you can tell us about the company that might
assist us in searching...?

'Fraid I can't. All I have is the logo on the inside of the binder
cover, which I am trying to replace. I assume they are history, but am
curious to know whether they merged with someone else who might carry
something similar to what they were selling nearly forty years ago.
I'll take whatever information you can find.
Thanks,

A search of the NYS Department of State Corporations listings at:
http://wdb.dos.state.ny.us/corp_public/corp_wdb.corp_search_inputs.show
turns up the following information for your company:
Current Entity Name: ATLANTIC BINDERS CORP.
Initial DOS Filing Date: 11/06/1947
County: KINGS
Jurisdiction: NEW YORK
Entity Type: DOMESTIC BUSINESS CORPORATION
Current Entity Status: ACTIVE
DOS Process (Address to which DOS will mail process if accepted on
behalf of the entity)
ATLANTIC BINDERS CORP.
1261 ATLANTIC AVE.
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK 11216
Registered Agent
NONE
-------------------
The fact that they show the firm as "Active" doesn't really mean
anything, I think...it's simply the last entry they had on file.
Anyway, at least you now know that Atlantic Binders is (was) on
Atlantic Avenue. Beyond that, though, I'm afraid I can't tell you
what's become of them.
Good luck, though.

Pafalafa: Tthanks so much for this. I've got friends who know
old-timers on tlantic Avenue. I'll try to find out through them what
happened.
