I am looking for information on credit card usage in grocery/supermarket sector. Specifically, I would like to know what percentage of credit card sales (for visa and mastercard) are designated for grocery/supermarket sales an annual basis over the course of the past five years. I am only looking for credit card sales not debit or other payment methods. Thanks. | |

Interestingly, in my local Sainsburys (in the UK), there are a couple of tills that are 'Cash Only' and, usually, these are near empty whilst long queues often build up at the numerous other tills. But, occasionally, one of the bored check-out clerks at a 'Cash Only' till will call over a non-cash customer. Of course, this is not credit card only; because many customers use Debit Cards or Cheques. APACS provide an analysis of card usage but not by sector. |
